Impression? SUPERB ACTING AND POWERFUL PERFORMANCES!!
I watched this production on their first day. Directed by Dennis Gupa.
Students should watch this one. So that they will know whats really happening in the real world. The play was originally written by my kababayan, Aurelio Tolentino.

Personal Observation
--> they don't have "bonggang" stage but it was the acting and delivery that is superb. sobrang ok talaga. one of the best play i watched during my 10 year stay in UPLB.
--> ang galing ni mafel? tama ba? hehehe basta she's a good actress. and the "gobernador" konti lang ang role nia pero he did great. of course given na superb acting nung cristo, ung mom nia, at ung ahas!! hahaha
--> ang haba nung play pero hindi boring. ang galing mga representation sa mga eksena. and the moving stage walls. hahaha galeng!!

the highlight for me
i love the way they presented the part wherein they were praying "ama namin" while showing the difficult way of living during those times. kikilabutan ka sa galing nila sa pag-arte. another highlight of the play is the scene where they were finally able to show the flag and raise it and they were all singing in chorus! whew. i almost stand and clap! pero bawal pumalakpak!! haha

the sad part..
--> there was one part in the story wherein a mother was crying to someone because the store owner wont allow her to have credits for the food of her two daughter. sad part is that,, the audience, composed mostly of students, laugh at the part "hindi po kasi ako pautangin sa tindahan.." haaay, hindi kasi nila maintindihan ang hirap ng buhay ng kanilang mga magulang. ang alam lang nila ay ang tumanggap ng allowance at maglustay nito sa paraan na makakapagpasaya sa kanila. at ang malungkot pa na nito ay, karamihan sa mga ito ay simpleng mga bulakbol ng lipunan!!! haaaay.

--> discrimination. this is very very subtle but still i feel discriminated. we were in single line when a staff of the play told us to have two lines. one line for the required students and one line for the not required audience. so, together with those "others" spectators, we happily obliged to fall in line for the "not required." Then suddenly they told us, that they will first let the required students to go inside the hall and then us. WHAT THE *#&$^*#???!!!! WE PAID THE SAME AMOUNT. I FINISHED MY CLASS EARLIER SO THAT I CAN FALL IN LINE EARLY FOR WHAT???? JUST TO FIND MYSELF BEING DISCRIMINATED????
"asan ang katarungan??" this is the shout of the actors in the play, and yet their very audience were treated the same way!!! so, knowing my choleric personality, i talk and talk and talk to another staff and told them to do something about it!! they told us that they were instructed my their superiors who happened to be the teachers from humanities department.. hmmm... so i stopped talking. knowing that the student doesn't have power to do her will, i just simply told her to do something about it and that the same thing will continue to pester her again and again and again. i didnt even told her that im a faculty coz i never believe that positions should allow you to get what you want. i just persuaded her to tell her mentors about the case. then when they allowed us to go in, finally, she apologized to me and told me that those people who instructed her will allow first come-first serve on the following night of the show. i said its ok. hehehe buti na lang maganda ang show. hehehe anyway, ok na ung part na yun. sana masunod na lang nila ang first come first serve. hehehe

This is the best film of 2008 so far.
I won't spoil it for the moviegoers who want to watch this magnificent film.
i just want to say that its really a good one.
Life at its best. No excuses.
Film about friendship, loyalty, family, politics and hardships on life.
try this one. bring a hanky.

Nothing extraordinary about the story. You will just laugh and laugh and laugh as you watch the film. hahaha
Nakakatawa talaga ang tambalang Toni and Sam. ahaha
TIP: manood kayo ng ganito sa mga provincial cinemas para meron mga viewers na sumisigaw sa kilig nila. hahaha added factor sa comedy films. wag manood sa manila. NR ang mga tao dun hahaha

Watched this movie last saturday night. It was one hell of a movie. hahaha its nice. i was at the edge of my seat all through out the time i was watching it. one story. different points of view. The story was well written and presented. astig.

i was thinking, i hope we can have something like this in the hottest controversy in our country. the lozada expose. hahaha it will be the greatest movie in the philippine history ever! hahaha

Weeeh. ang ganda nung movie. as in. hehehe very timely (atleast on the personal side) hehehe anyway watch the movie and im sure, you will think about it again and again and again. hehehe

find the joy in life.

This is another movie of those trilogy thing. The first thing I observed from the movie is that it didn't created a buzz on the entertainment world. I wasn't expecting that the movie will not attract moviegoers due to the fact that the movie came from prominent movie outfit (New Line Cinema) and the same producers that of The Lord of the Rings. They have been campaigning for the movie since June of this year. I heard that its the most expensive film to date by New Line Cinema. Even more expensive than LOTR. We, in fairness to the movie, it has good effect and the animation is really awesome. But the story is somehow shallow. Well, maybe this is due to the fact that the story is just being revealed to the viewer. (But, LOTR and NARNIA came from the same league but they actually had a great start.) At the end of the movie, the viewer will have a lot of question about some concepts in the film but as i try to read press releases from the movie outfit, the release of the 2nd part will be dependent on the reaction of the people on the first part. Well, lets just hope that we will still see the 2nd part. hahaha if not, you can always read the book. hahaha
Watch it. it is actually a good movie except that the story is not that developed.

The movie is a little experimental and kinda unrealistic. its a good movie though for giving a well-acted scenes and a multi-talented cast. Anyway, I'm giving it a three star for making me feel nervous all through out the movie. hehehe For people who like action movies a lot, this one is for you. Watch out for those gory scenes. by the way its R-13.

What caught my attention in this movie was the scene where Colonel Faris Al Ghazi (Ashraf Barhom) and Ronald Fleury (Jaime Foxx) where talking inside a moving car. Fleury asking Faris why he decided to be a cop on Saudi where things are very complicated? Faris aswered was something unexpected. He recalled that when he was a child, he used to watch cartoons and he recalled this one particular green man who can be big and huge and beat the bad guys. Familiar? of course! he's talking about HULK! and that what pushed him to join the cops and wanted to beat the bad guys. It seems ironic, but a lot of us are ushered into the real world by our own childish dreams.
